DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

RECOMMENDED METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR FLOORS
- Put on rubber gloves, vapor mask or respirator, and safety goggles.
- Sweep floor. Make sure floor is clean and that dirt, grease and sealers are removed.
- Fill large plastic bucket with a 1:1 ratio of Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner
and clean water. Using mop, lambs wool applicator, or micro fiber mop
spread evenly over area to be treated.
- Ensure that surface is always evenly wet with Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner during entire treatment time.
- Continue spreading and mopping during treatment, otherwise liquid will evaporate and cause spots to appear on the treated surface when the job is done.
- At the conclusion of pre-determined application time, pour 16 ounces of Gecko Grip Rinse into a clean 5 gallon bucket and fill with water. Apply mixture to treated surface with foam head or mop. Keep entire area wet for several minutes. Remove solution with a wet vac and dispose of appropriately or squeegee down a drain.

- Always wear acid-proof rubber/vinyl gloves, splash resistant goggles, and
ventilate the area.
- Be careful not to allow Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner to come in
contact with any surface other than the one being treated.
- When pouring from one container to another and when applying, be careful of splash.
- The floor should be thoroughly cleaned before applying Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner. Waxes and grease must be removed as they act as a barrier between the Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner and the surface.
In some instances Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner may reduce gloss as in the case of highly polished marble, granite or high gloss ceramic tile. ALWAYS PRE-TEST THE SURFACE TO DETERMINE THE CORRECT LENGTH OF TREATMENT TIME AND THE AMOUNT OF GLOSS, IF ANY THAT MAY BE REDUCED. OVER TREATMENT MAY RESULT IN SOIL RETENTION. 10 MINUTES IS AN AVERAGE TREATMENT TIME. Perform the following test to ascertain the correct treatment time for your floor and to verify tile compatibility.
TESTING PROCEDURE FOR FLOORS
- Locate one square foot in an out-of-the-way area.
- Apply Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner with a sponge for 5-10 minutes.
- Keep floor wet with Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner. Uneven drying may cause variation in sheen level.
- Rinse Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner off with clean water, wet and check for appearance and to see if tile is sufficiently slip resistant. If tile is not satisfactory, continue applying in 5-10 minute increments, testing until the slip resistance is to your satisfaction.

PLEASE NOTE: The above suggested treatment times act as a guide. Optimum treatment times can vary depending upon the surface involved. Always perform a test in an out-of-the-way area to verify the proper treatment time for your floor. We suggest, except for porcelain tile, that you work in 5 minute increments when performing your test. Rinse your test tile thoroughly with fresh water and evaluate for performance and aesthetics. If you are not satisfied with the slip resistance, repeat in 5 minute increments. The absolute maximum treatment time suggested is 60 minutes. Do not go beyond 60 minutes. If you are not satisfied with the floor’s appearance after testing, do not continue. Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner must be applied to a clean surface that is free of sealers and coatings. CAUTIONS & NOTES
Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner does not work on synthetic tile containing chemical resin binders, paint, glass fiber or acrylic. Any unused Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner may be stored in a cool closet. Do not allow product to freeze. Keep out of reach of children and animals. Avoid applying on a surface in direct sunlight. The heat will cause product to congeal causing spots. Warm tiles should be cooled with water before applying Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner. The surface can be damp, not wet. Apply directly to original floor surface. Waxes or sealers act as a barrier and should be stripped prior to application. Do not over treat floors. Predetermine the correct treatment time for your floor by conducting a test, as outlined. Gecko Grip Anti-Slip Conditioner may slightly lighten dark grout. Perform test to ascertain if this is acceptable. |
